Rick Shaff


Rick Shaff is the CEO of Juniper Services and Managing Partner of ATP Partners LLC. He was formerly the COO and CFO of Nevada Nanotech Systems Inc., the CFO of Bristlecone Inc., President – APU of Fallbrook Technologies and CEO of Black Rock Systems.

Rick has a financial background and extensive experience at all company levels from startup to public company, including numerous years of worldwide experience. His experience includes company turnaround success, strategic planning, government relations, building distribution and service networks, and leading and assisting in strategic acquisitions.


Hamza Asumah

Director of Operations

Hamza is the Director of Operations for specialty practices. In high school, he earned the required grades for admission to medical school, and later as a General Surgeon and the Medical Director of Abenkyiman Hospital. Hamza’s private practice career began in 2012, two years after graduating from medical school. Since then, he has explored the power of healthcare entrepreneurship to build up his influence to help the less fortunate in his community.

In 2019, he founded the Hope Surgical Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, preventing and ensuring early detection and timely care of diabetic foot problems in the underprivileged.


Jerry Meyer

Director of Finance

Jerry has been the Director of Finance at Juniper Services since 2020, shortly after its inception. Jerry has since been part of the establishment of the processes and centralized service offerings by Juniper Services for Human Resources, Financial Planning, Budgeting and Billing and Collections.

Jerry has been in financial leadership of various companies since 1999, including several different construction industry companies, one of which he founded. After 10 years in the construction industry, he spent 5 years growing and establishing the Reno Aces Baseball Club.

Jerry prides himself on his ability to learn the operational nuances of a business and then utilize processes and financial data to help optimize business performance.

Joseph Herman

Director of Revenue Cycle Operations

Joseph is the Director of Revenue Cycle Operations at Juniper Services. He utilizes nearly 18 years of experience in the medical, surgical and dental industry, having held the same role with Global Healthcare Alliance in Houston, TX — a mid-market MSO managing over 30 clients spanning both sub-specialties and surgical practices. Additionally, Joseph has held executive leadership roles at various community health centers throughout the Eastern Sierras over the past ten years.

Joseph’s experience includes operational and financial turnaround management, budgeting, strategic planning, board governance, vendor relations, revenue cycle management, team building and physician

Doug Harvey

Financial Controller

Doug Harvey, our Financial Controller, brings over two decades of expertise in Finance, Strategy, and Business Operations. Leading our financial oversight, Doug leverages his strategic acumen and innovative mindset to navigate intricate financial landscapes and drive continuous improvement.

With a consistent history of success, he has played pivotal roles in esteemed healthcare organizations such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Tahoe Forest Health System, and Renown Health and advocated for Nevada Hospitals during his tenure at the Nevada Hospital Association. His leadership in senior finance and commercial roles across diverse sectors solidifies his reputation as a trusted expert in finance and operations.

Rob Smith

Director of Human Resources and Recruiting.

Rob, utilizes over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Recruiting spanning several sectors including manufacturing, mining, medical, healthcare, telecommunications, and the Military. Rob has practiced every aspect of HR in both domestic and international arenas. Rob holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership, leveraging a combination of experience and education. Over the years, Rob has leveraged his massive expertise in HR to streamline organizational excellence.

Brooke has consistently been a driving force behind the growth, branding initiatives and market traction of her previous employers. With a versatile skill set, she excels in various areas, including analytics, content development, lead and pipeline reporting, public relations, event management and email campaign management.

Leveraging her in-depth understanding of marketing dynamics and consumer behavior, Brooke possesses a unique ability to craft strategic marketing campaigns that captivate audiences and yield tangible results. Over the course of six years, she has thrived in marketing roles across diverse industries, adapting her strategies to meet the specific demands of each sector.


Linda Reed

Lead Human Resources Generalist

Linda joined our Human Resources department in September 2021 and has since played a vital role in organizing and developing the department to better serve our practices and patients. With over 30 years of experience in human resources, Linda has worked across diverse industries, including government contracting, financial services, manufacturing, real estate and legal. She is a proactive advocate for growing businesses, actively involved in establishing performance management processes and development strategies to achieve organizational goals.


Ryan Alger

IT Coordinator

Ryan Alger’s path to the field of IT took a unique and non-traditional trajectory. While learning animation and philosophy at Sam Houston University, he embarked on an entrepreneurial venture when he founded a small business dedicated to game-system repair. Over the years, that repair business experienced remarkable growth, expanding its operations until he made the decision to sell the company in 2009. This paved the way for his career as an IT project manager at Hewlett Packard,
with subsequent roles at esteemed companies such as SpireTek, Foxconn, Expeditors and Bartec US, where he seamlessly blended IT expertise with project management.

Most recently, Ryan served as the Chief Information Officer at Thrifty Business, followed by a pivotal role as the Head of IT and chief IT Technician at Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. Currently, he assumes the position of IT Coordinator at Juniper Services.
